Here’s a great idea. If you have an iPhone or an iPad2 or better (for the built-in camera), there is a great app called Adobe Ideas. During a consultation, you can take a few photos as you walk the property with your client and sketch out some rough ideas while you’re there. This work can later be imported into Photoshop or Illustrator.
The software allows multiple layers as well, which you can switch on and off.
