After a VERY dry summer season, the rain has been most welcome. This swale at the top of the hill is doing nicely, and just about filled up. What a pleasure it was to watch it slowly do it’s thing as designed.
Observing how the rain falls on the property has been quite a lesson and now I am inspired to “finish the job” connecting up the overflows to downhill swales.
